- I'll be soldering the first passive components on the Pas-Isel synthesizer module. From there I'll start to figure out which parts I'm missing to be put on a future Mouser or Digi-Key order.
- I picked up Pokémon Scarlet at the library, so I'll be playing that for a couple of weeks. It's a nice change from Pokémon GO, which is terribly lacking in good writing and storytelling. I don't really understand the appeal of mass outbreaks, considering the low shiny rates (compared to GO at least)
I enjoy coffee (a lot)
- I'm trying a few decaf roast and learning how to dial them in properly. Now that I'm single-dosing each shot, this is something I can easily offer to my partner and guests.
- 5 LATTE ART MISTAKES YOU'RE MAKING Still working on that, but not stretching as much is already a great improvement.
I'm researching JFET analog switches
I'm currently designing an Eurorack module with mutes! However, the classic components used for audio are obsolete, unavailable, or just weirdly uncommon. I'm researching how those classics work so I can find a reasonable compromise using available parts.
- The SW06 is still in production and looks like a modern version of...
- The LF13331
- But I would simply be using the SSM2402/SSM2404 if it was still available.
So far I managed to simulate the SSM240x ramp generator in Falstad. It's pretty much just a differential amplifier, a constant current source, and Zener diodes clamping the voltage to +/- 7V. I'll try to write all this down.
